Does your salary clear the threshold?
Pick your occupation and drop in the base salary. We compare it against the general £38,700 floor, the role-specific going rate, and flag the new-entrant and Immigration Salary List discounts where they apply.
Going rates updated from UK gov.uk (April 2024 rules). Base salary only — bonuses, tips and equity are excluded.
How the maths actually works
Every Skilled Worker application must clear the higher of two numbers: the general salary floor (£38,700 as of April 2024) and the role-specific going rate drawn from ONS / national pay data. Where a role qualifies, the Immigration Salary List and the new-entrant rules each cut 20% off the going rate — they do not stack.
Health & Care Worker roles operate on a separate floor, typically the NHS pay scale. Bonuses, tips and equity do not count towards the threshold.
